Objective:To establish reserved-phase high performance liquid chromatography(HPLC) method for the determination of resveratrol content in root of polygonum cuspidatum. Methods:HPLC was carried out to detect resveratrol content in root of polygonum cuspidatum. Chromatographic conditions:mobile phase consisting of acetonitrile-water(30∶70) at flow rate of 1.0 ml/min;detection wave length of 306 nm;column temperature at room temperature;sample size of 10 μl. Results:Calibration curves were linear within the range of 0.3~9.6 μg/ml. Conclusions:The method is simple,accurate,reproducible,precise and can be used in the determination of resveratrol content in polygonum cuspidatum extract.
