    Abstract:

    Abstract:objective:To explore the clinical curative effects and safety of perospirone in the treatment of mental disorders caused by hypothyroidism. Methods:34 patients with mental disorders caused by hypothyroidism were treated by perospirone combined thyroxine,or left - levothyroxine sodium tablets. Before and after the treatment, the positive and negative symptom scale ( PANSS ) and adverse symptoms scale ( TESS ) were used to assess the curative effects.And compared the changes of blood thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH), iodine thyroid acid (T3), thyroxine (T4), free iodine thyroid acid (FT3) and free thyroxine (FT4) ,before and after treatment. Results:Treated by perospirone combined thyroxine,or left - levothyroxine sodium tablets, the PANSS total scores decreased significantly. Compared before treatment with 2, 4, 8 weeks after treatment, the differences were statistically significant (P <0.01). Disease efficacy evaluation: The total effective rate was 77.5%. After treatment, TSH, T3, T4, of FT3 and FT4 was significantly improved.Compared with before treatment, the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.01).Conclusion:Perospirone is a safe and effective antipsychotic medication, and make significant improvement in psychiatric symptoms. It is safe and effective in the treatment of mental disorders caused by primary hypothyroidism.
