Effects of Shexiangbaoxin pill on inflammation indicators，cardiac and vascular endothelial function in patients with acute myocardial infarction

Abstract:

Objective：To explore the effects of Shexiangbaoxin pill on inflammation indicators，cardiac and vascular endothelial func－tions in patients with acute myocardial infarction. Methods：Totally 105 patients with acute myocardial infarction from June 2010 to June 2012 were divided randomly into control group and experiment group. Patients in control group were treated with routine therapy while those in experiment group were treated with Shexiangbaoxin pill on the basis of routine therapy. After 2 months，the inflammation level，cardiac and vascular endothelial functions were estimated in control group and experiment group． Results：There was no signifi－cant difference in low density lipoprotein（LDL），total glycerin（TG），von willebrand factor（vWF），left ventricular ejection fraction（LVEF），left ventricular end diastolic volume（LVEDV） and left ventricular end systolic volume（LVESV） in control group before and after treatment（P >0.05） and there were significant differences in high-sensitivity C-reactive protein（hs-CRP），interleukin-6（IL-6） and flow-mediated dilation（FMD） in control group before and after treatment（P<0.05）. Values of LDL，TG，vWF，LVEF，LVEDV，LVESV，hs-CRP，IL-6 and FMD were improved in experiment group after treatment compared with those before treatment（P<0.05）. Values of the above indicators were improved in experiment group after treatment compared with those in control group（P<0.05）. Conclusions：Shexiangbaoxin pill can decrease blood lipids level，improve endothelial dysfunction，cardiac function and inflammatory reactions in patients with acute myocardial infarction.
