    Abstract:

Atrial fibrillation(AF) is one of the most common clinical tachyarrhythmia, which is seen most frequently in the elderly. Ag-ing is regarded as an important risk factor for AF. A lot of researchers find that atrial remodeling plays an important role in occurrence and maintenance of the age-related AF. The changes of ion channel currents and its channel protein or gene expression in atrial my-ocytes are related to occurrence of atrial remodeling. This paper made a review on the recent studies of the relationship between AF and the changes which leaded by aging in atrial remodeling and ion channels.
