    Abstract:

Confirmatory tests are of vital importance in the diagnosis of primary aldosteronism(PA). Currently, the guideline does not explicitly recommend which confirmatory test is the most optimal one,and the classical ones commonly used in clinical practice still have their own shortcomings, which need to be further improved. Many studies have proposed modified or other new confirmatory tests, such as seated saline suppression test, losarton suppression test, furosemide upright test,fludrocortisone-dexamethasone suppres-sion test,dexamethasone-captopril-valsartan test. The progress in these new confirmatory tests is reviewed in this paper.
