Diabeticnephropathy(DN)hasbecomeamajorproblemaffectinghumanhealth,andthepreventionandtreatmentofitsdevelopmentandprogressionhasattractedmoreandmoreattentionintheindustry.Inrecentyears,stemcelltransplantationhasshowngreatpotentialinthepreventionandtreatmentofDN,especiallymesenchymalstemcells(MSCs)transplantation.MoreandmorestudieshaveshownthatMSCsmainlyexertatherapeuticeffectinaparacrinemode,andaseriesofnanoscalevesicles(exosomes)releasedbyMSCsactasanimportantmediatorforintercellularcommunication.Theseexosomescantransferstemcellphenotypetorecipientcells,promotestemcellmaintenance,differentiation,self-renewal,andrepair,mediateinteractionsbetweenmatrixelements,andpro-motetissuerepairandregenerationofrecipientcells.Stemcellexosome-mediatedtreatmentofchronickidneydiseasehasbecomearesearchhotspotinrecentyears,andsomeachievementshavebeenmadeinthetreatmentofDN.Thisarticlereviewstherecentad-vancesinstemcellexosomesinthetreatmentofDNinChinaandforeigncountries.
