    Abstract:

Catecholamines are closely related to some neuroendocrine tumors. Therefore, the clinical detection of catecholamines is of great value for the early prediction of these diseases as well as for their later monitoring. There are several methods available for the detection of catecholamines, but there is a lack of standardized clinical assays due to the minimal amount of catecholamines in biological samples, their easy oxidation, and the presence of endogenous interferents. This article provides a brief overview of the current methods for the detection of catecholamines and their advantages and disadvantages, and provides references for the clinical detection of catecholamines.
