    Abstract:

    The liver is an important metabolism and detoxification organ of the human body. When affected by various pathogenic factors, the normal physiological and biochemical functions of the liver are affected, leading to liver diseases. Leukocyte cell-derived chemotaxin-2 (LECT2) is a basic protein secreted mainly by liver cells, which has many important functions in various systems of the human body, such as controlling and regulating the immune system, changing glucose metabolism, promoting bone growth, controlling cell cycle and division, etc. The clinical significance of changes in LECT2 levels in different disease states is different. In patients with different types of liver diseases, the level of LECT2 in serum and liver tissue is closely related to the decline of liver function and pathological staging. A large number of animal studies and in vitro experiments have shown that the abnormal expression of LECT2 leads to metabolic disorders, liver inflammation, fibrosis and tumors. This article reviews the relevant domestic and foreign literature in recent years, and reviews the molecular concept of LECT2 and its relationship with the occurrence and development of liver diseases, invasion and metastasis, etc., to explore whether LECT2 can be used as a potential target for the treatment of different liver diseases.
