Analysis of maternal mortality and related influencing factors in ethnic areas of Sichuan Province from 2014 to 2018

Abstract:

Objective: To understand the factors affecting maternal mortality in minority areas of Sichuan Province. Methods: The maternal death case cards from 2014 to 2018 in the ethnic regions of Sichuan Province were analyzed retrospectively. Results: The birthplace and death place of pregnant women who died in the minority areas of Sichuan Province were mainly in district and county-level hospitals, and obstetric hemorrhage was the first cause of death. Conclusion: In ethnic areas of Sichuan Province, efforts should be made to strengthen the prevention and treatment of obstetric hemorrhage and the management of women health care during pregnancy and childbirth.
