    Abstract:

Objective To explore whether the massive gray scale change(MGSC) can benefit far-field adverse effects during focused ultrasound ablation(FUA) in the treatment of benign uterine diseases. Methods In a single-center retrospective clinical observation study,40 patients with benign uterine diseases were treated with FUA in The Second Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University. Before and after the occurrence of MGSC,the incidence of far-field adverse effects such as sacrococcygeal or hip pain, radiation pain, perineal pain, anal distension pain and the levels of adverse effects were compared under the same energy level(the lowest intolerant energy). Results Under the same energy level(the lowest intolerant energy),the incidence of sacrococcygeal or hip pain, radiation pain, perineal pain, anal distension pain and the levels of adverse effects immediately after the occurrence of MGSC were significantly lower than those before the occurrence(P<0.05).Conclusion The MGSC can reduce far-field adverse effects during FUA in the treatment of benign uterine diseases.
